Importing text file which has ,;and tabs
Hello Vlad and all,
I have been trying to migrate from Movie Library to your software. I can export a text doc from movie library, but it is either comma, semicolon or tab delimited, and I can also enclose entries with double or single quotes. The problem is that the plot info I would like to import will always contain some of those commas, semicolons, tabs, and also quotes and double quotes... so I cannot export to your programme.
Is there any way to have your software accept a dbf or xls or some other spreadsheet format so the text in the plot field does not corrupt the import? That would be great.
Thanks! Mark.

Re: Importing text file which has ,;and tabs
We create plugins that allow importing content of most popular movie databases into Movienizer easily. It's unlikely that we add support for dbf or xls formats in the near future (I understand that it would be great, but we just cannot do that right now). I believe that there should be a way to replace semicolons in the plot info with some other appropriate characters (for example, using a spreadsheet application) and then to import the database into Movienizer.
