Post Adding movie files for newer filetypes and extentions
Hi,

When I "add a movie from file" by selecting a folder within which to search, Movienizer ignores valid filetypes/extentions such as *.m4v.

Is there any simple way to modify the extensions filter to include a wider variety of movie filetypes (preferably selected by the user)?

This limitation means that unrecognised movies must first be manually added based on TITLE, then edited to add the filename.

Thanks,
Andy.

You can simply open the "English.lng" file from Movienizer's folder (or whatever language you use) and edit the following line:
1919=*.avi;*.wmv;*.mkv;*.ts;*.mts;*.m2ts;*.mpg;*.mpeg;*.iso;*.mp4
Just add a semicolon and a new file extension and save the file.

I hope you will add these new line (or changed one) to the next update of the script, as we are not all coders and many users do not even know what the h*ck you are talking about :mrgreen:

good idea, if you can come up with a com plete listing (or better yet line 1919 revised) please do so and I will add it to the dutch translations.

It's not about scripts, just an update for language files, shouldn't be that scary ;)
Could anybody provide the complete list of file extensions that should be added?

I have added the “m4v” extension to the language file and I can now navigate to individual movie files with the m4v extension. When I search for movies using Movienizer’s search facility, no m4v files are located.
I have thousands of m4v files yet none are retrieved.
Any advice?

All language files have been changed to
1919=*.avi;*.wmv;*.mkv;*.ts;*.mts;*.m2ts;*.mpg;*.mpeg;*.mp4;*.m4v

Thanks
