Post An entry for what I paid for a movie
I'd like to see an entry for what a movie cost me. All I want is a place where I can type what I paid for a movie. Some I have are rare & I bought for cheap, some I paid full market price. I'd like to know what my collection is worth.

I thought I could do this with a custom field, but I see they are fairly limited in use. I'd like to be able to rename my custom field to something other than "custom field 1", "custom field 2", etc. Right now I have a lot of collections, so I would like to rename one of my custom fields to "Collection", then be able to type in the name of the specific collection (ex. "Busby Berkely Collection, Film Noir", etc). It really doesn't help me if I search by the term "Collection" and I'm given 20+ titles of movies that are in a collection, but not precisely which collection. It would be helpful to search for movies included in "Collection" then have them sorted by the sub-title I've given under "Collection". Does that make sense?

Post Re: An entry for what I paid for a movie & better "custom" f
 I would like to give an apology to the group at large: my brain regularly has a coup and, subsequently, communications with the outside world are disrupted & often garbled. Having defeated my brain's plan to abandon the intercranial space where it is once again firmly duct taped & tacked in place, I have since discovered how to change the name of "custom field 1" into something more appropriate for my needs. Yes, reading was involved, as was the help function and it was very difficult for me, akin to asking for directions, but I bulled through nevertheless and succeeded in understanding the very obvious text in front of me.

That's OK. It's great that you opened and used Help. Many users don't even bother themselves to do this. :)
Concerning the Price field, it can be added in the next program updates if the idea turns out to be popular among users.

I really really want a price field in Movienizer too.

One field would be great, but 2 would be better :

> one entry for the primary price of the dvd/boxset
> one entry for the (always exorbitant) postage price (and customs taxes)

Thank you

A price field would be great as long as it's a numeric field so it can be included in the stats with the following: Total cost (all movies), Average cost, Most expensive and Least expensive. That would make my insurance company very happy.

We've added a cost value in the database, but we could not find a place on the form where we can place it.

I realise that there has been some discussion about two price fields and where to put them in the input forms. Finally only one went into the Edition/General tab in ver 5.x and that was great but it really would be nice to have two fields for insurance purposes - one for original cost and one for current/replacement cost. Currently I'm using a spreadsheet for this and keeping that in sych with Movienizer is a pain.
