Post Couple of small requests for next update
Hi,

I've finally taken the plunge and upgraded my v3 version to v5 (mainly because v3 was refusing to play mkv's). I'm glad I made the upgrade! This version is much faster and looks far more polished in all areas. The orange interface looks good and is well laid out and I prefer the bigger pictures and tabs set up. All in all a good purchase :-)

Couple of small changes that I'd like to see though:

1. I tweaked the scroll list picture size on the left and decided I liked it better like the picture. Only trouble is each time I start movienizer it puts the scroll divider back to the left again. Can it be changed to remember the last layout I set it to when the program restarts?

2. Can you add "play movie" to the context menu when right clicking on the scroll list pictures

Also, according to the various upgrade messages I got, I should have been entitled to a 30% discount on my purchase. For some reason this doesn't seem to have worked, maybe because I paid in GBP or didn't put a discount code in. I'm not sure. I paid £27.27 which sort of equates to the $39.95 price without the discount. It's a good product for this price, so I'm not too worried, but I thought you should know.

Keep up the good work.

Jon

Update:

Feature request 1 does actually work to an extent in that it will remember the position of the divider up to about half way across the screen. Any further than that and it moves it back to the left on restart.

This is correct, the program calculates the position and resets it if the divider is too far on the right. This is to prevent situation when the details page "disappears", that is the list is so wide that you cannot see any details anymore.

It's a good question :). Unfortunately, a movie can have several editions or be a TV series, which creates a sort of ambiguity: it is unclear which file should be played in this kind of situation.

Hi Vlad,

Thanks for the quick reply :-)

On 1. not sure I completely understand the explanation, but I can live with it since v5 looks good on both sides of the divider :-)

You are right, of course, with 2. If I select a TV series and press play, it opens my movie player but nothing starts playing. Interestingly, if no playable media is selected and I press play, the internal player is opened but plays nothing. May I suggest that in the first instance, the first playable episode is loaded and in the second instance the play button has no effect. This would allow you to add the play movie context menu item, but these are trivial problems really that I accept will be somewhere at the bottom of the list...
