Post Search fields
I installed movienizer this morning and I already like it.
It's simple an inobstrusive, yet it does more or less all that I need.

I'd like an feature, though: I have movies in different languages and I'd like to be able to search for language, i.e. "all movies in english".
Even better, it would be nice if you could add any field to the search window.

Thanks for this nice tool.

Regards,
Geeno

Thank you for your suggestion, we will think about it. Currently we are thinking about making the search feature more user friendly. There are too many fields already.

Post Re: Search fields
Hi there,

I've just downloaded this program, and after looking a long time for something to suit the purpose, this is a great piece of work. On the subject of the search fields,I was trying to customize a bit and thought you might want to include it in your next release. How about leaving the number of fields available on the search tab as they are, but enabling each field to be customisable with a drop down box where one could select the name of the field they would like to search. I realise you might have already thought about it and even probably had a good reason not to include it, I just thought I'd make myself look silly by asking "pretty please :D ).

In case I couldn't make myself understood properly (english isn't my first language), say I'd like to search for example for a movie genre comedy AND drama AND thriller.. Maybe there is a way to do it already, if this is the case, can you please tell me how. I've tried to put AND, &, /, \, (and of course I tried blank) between two genre (since we do have movies with more than one genre), but that didn't work so... Can you help?

While on the subject of fields, it would be great if we could also pick the fields to show on reports and to be able to chose how to sort them... title is good when classification is alphabetical, that means we can't report on year (which being weird like I am, I do) or genre (whi, guess what, being weird like I am, I also do ;) ). I do have a lot of suggestion to improve the software but I wouldn't like to sound like I'm telling you how to do develop it, I'm sure you are more than resourcefull since you came up with it already and I've tried a lot of different software in the past month and this is really the best I found and I shall be sticking with it.

Before you ask, I do think I'm using the latest version. It's 1.5 built 38 from 02/27/08.

Thank you all for this great effort.

Kind regards,
Emmanuelle
