Scripts for Books

Postby Vlad » Mon Oct 12, 2009 9:55 am

Those who loves reading may find the attached scripts useful. Those are scripts for Movienizer that retrieve information about books and authors. I'd recommend using a separate database for books. Questions and suggestions are welcome.
The scripts should be put into Movienizer's script folder - %AppData%\Movienizer\Scripts

I personnaly find the idea very interesting but i've not much time at the moment to spend on that subject (but, following that idea, i've already searched for a french speaking site for books and amazon.fr seems to be a reference).
I will surely download these scripts later.

So, thanks Vlad. And... No, you're not alone : i also love reading :)
As i'm still working on JeF_program v9, i'll come back to that subject when i've a little time. ;)

Hiya

I've figured out how to do it now but I have over 500 books.
Half of those books are in Dutch and it cant even find most of my English books.

To have a book database like this is very appealing to me so is there any way I or we can improve on this?

Could you provide a couple of examples for English books that couldn't be found?

You can either copy the script from the location where it is on your computer to %AppData%\Movienizer\Scripts, or, when downloading, click "Save" and select %AppData%\Movienizer\Scripts as the location to save the file.

Please make sure to enter either the title of the book (into the "Add movie" dialog) or the author (into the "Add person" dialog), but NOT THE BOTH. I had no problem finding some titles from the list.
