JeF's user interface script (v33) (Movienizer 4.x)

Post by JeF » Sun Jun 14, 2009 8:07 pm

Hello,

Here is my interface script based upon a previous standard user interface script : original_program.pas v5
Modifications partly consist in some improvements i made to take into account some requests sent to this forum.
Options are no more in file Jef_program_options.ini but now stored to registry.
Although the meaning of most of them will be easily understandable (i hope so... :) ), you'll find details in user guide.

There is no automatic download nor annoucement for interface scripts till now. Upgrade comes with two possible ways :
- Movienizer new release (which is automatically annouced)
- Manual download from this topic (just follow "1) script installation" note below)
A link to the forum topic is shown a bottom of home page afer the installed version number. You'll just have to click to check the forum times to times (version number is updated in the topic title at each release)

Important Note : V16 will stay available for Movienizer v2.2 from this topic
Versions released here are now only compatible with movienizer v4.x.

If you like it, please vote here (if you haven't already).

1) script installation
- download Pictures.zip (link below) and unzip in Movienizer install folder.
- download JeF_program.zip (link below) and unzip in the right directory then select it in the 'user interface' panel of Movienizer options window
- Script must be run at least once for options to be created or updated with new options definitions.

2) Options and updates : Please see User Guide

Woot thx alot!
Thats exactly what i was talking about.

Now just need television shows to have a start and end date, to scroll through the sidebar and see which shows that are still on the air need updating.
Currently it just shows the year the show started, not the end year.

Script v4 : Indian Theme for Movie Pages (see first post) !

I know Vlad and dev team have planned themes in their todo list but i was so excited when i saw Indian Theme i couldn't wait (sorry).
So this is just a temporary implementation to have fun till dev team releases themes management.

I have imported this theme from AMM (all my movies) and modified (long job...) the theme and JeF_program.pas for the theme to fit in.
i here thank the author of the design Evgeny Dmitriev (evgeny.dmitriev@gmail.com) for having set his work free so i was authorized to use it for my purposes.

Theme for Home Page and Person Pages may follow one day... at a later time (interesting but long job).

Hope you will enjoy it as i do ! ;)

I just saw the seasons dates on the side bar. I love it thx!

Now is there anyway to get IMDB to download full descriptions of TV shows? I always get cut off descriptions and have to go to the site and and click on there full summary button, to cut and paste them into movienizer. Movie descriptions work fine, its just TV shows for IMDB.

Also Actors for television shows on IMDB dont always get all the info. If you look on there Actor-filmgraphy list
You'll see the title of the TV show and year, then followed by there Character's name they played and how many Episodes they were in and what year it was.
It picks up the info if theres a character name, but if there isnt a character name and its just the episodes they were in and the year, it wont pick that up.
So it would be something like this, i'll use Carrie Fisher for an example.
A TV show she was in

Weeds (2005)

That is all the info it shows after downloading Carrie Fisher. But if you go to the IMDB site for Carrie Fisher, its shows.

Weeds (2005) (1 Episode, 2007)
-The Brick Dance (2007)

With the name of the episode under it.
Now if it showed her character name she played, before this (1 Episode, 2007) it would have picked it up. Its more then likely not picking up the (parentheses) or the -dashes- not really sure.

Its annoying to have to manually cut and paste that info in.
