This is indeed a strange path for a database, I cannot see how it could get there. Please try to open all .dmo files in this folder:
C:\users\richard\appdata\roaming\movienizer\
This is where the demo database typically should be.

i had the appdata hidden. once i saw it, i was fine.

I would recommend creating a backup copy . And you can consider renaming the .dmo file and moving it to a location where you can access it easier.
