 Actor pictures
Once downloaded a picture for an actor, I decided to choose a different one. Hence several issues: - I noticed that it's not possible to chose manually the picture of an actor; the system seems to chose what it wants among the pictures stored in the Photo Tab. If this is the actual behaviour it seems very strange to me. If there is a way to manually chose the right peicture please tell me where I'm wrong. - In some way I succeeded in chosing the right imgae as the actor picture, but this picture is shown only when I look at the actor details. When I go back to the movie details the picture of this actor is still the old one even if I remove it from the Photo tab. Please see the attached screenshots. I would like to know how to overcome this issue. - One more thing: if I right-click on actor the program opens a context menu that has nothing to do with the actor, It's rather related to the movie. It's totally useless. My question is if it's possible to address this issue in a future release.
Thank you in advance

 Re: Actor pictures
Setting only one picture to 'photo' type will do it (not really a bug, gets the first picture set to 'photo' type, so keeping only one entry to that type works fine). JeF

 Re: Actor pictures
Not actually. There is just one picture now in the photo container (that one shown as picture of the actor when you see his details), but the picture shown for the actor in any other place is different. Why? See the picture already attached and also the new one. IMHO this is a bug. Thank you

 Re: Actor pictures
Works fine for me with Movienizer 4.1 build 196 and interface v48. Could you please give : - Movienizer version (Help > About...) - modern interface script version (F10 > User interface) JeF

 Re: Actor pictures
4.1 build 196 and interface v48 as well. But please consider that: - the actor picture (circled in blue) has been added manually - the other picture (circled in red) was the first one automatically downloaded. Now this picture is no longer present among the pictures of the actor, but still shown in the actor list. And please have a look what happens now when the mouse is over the name of the actor (once deleted the original picture) in the attached screenshot. if I click on him obviously the right picture is still there. - When you accept the picture automatically downloaded there is no problem, but I must have the possibility to change the pictures.
A function/tool that can rebuild the indexes (if this is the problem) could help. I'm pretty sure that if I delete the actor and also manually delete all the related pictures in the directory and then add him again, I can address the issue, but the bug is still there. In any case I insist, not having the possibility to chose the right picture for an actor among all the picture stored is a very poor limitation. I cannot see any reason why the choice must be done by the program. I would like to have an answer also for the strange behaviour of the right-click menu as said in my first post.
Thank you

 Re: Actor pictures
Maybe this is a thumb issue. Try the following : - using windows explorer, browse covers\thumbs folder - delete thumbs concerning the actor '*heston*' (they'll be recreated at display time) - start Movienizer Same issue ? That question is for Dev Team JeF

 Re: Actor pictures
I did as suggested. Better, but the actor thunbnail in the movie detail was still wrong. So I canceled all the images of the actor, then once closed the program I phisically deleted all the images and the thumbnails in the appropriate directories. Opened the program I added just the main picture as a "photo". Everything was OK. After that I added some more pictures as "user images". The thumbnail of the actor is still Ok, but in the movie details the problem is still there (see attach). Now the question is where are the actor thumbnails shown in the movie detail? If in this case is different I presume the program doesn't use the same thumbnail. In any case I think you can recreate the same situation easily. Actor added automatically via IMDB, deletion of all the pictures and then pictures added manually (one as photo, the other ones as user images).
Thank you JeF for your support

 Re: Actor pictures
Unfortunately not, JeF. Always the same. I tried with different actors too and there is always the same problem. If you add manually pictures as previously said the result is always the same. But there are some more strange things. When I add the 1st photo as said every is OK; when I add a first user image this is not shown in the actor details window, on the contrary the 1st photo is shown twice. If I add one more user image, this is correctly added in the actor details window, but the known issue rises. And finally see the attached picture: some actors are reported three or even 4 times. Why? Obviously I didn't add so many times information about the same actor (and in any case why duplicate the record?). I appreciate the fact you are working on this issue and you always promptly reply, but please try doing the same procedure I did, and I'm sure you will face the same issue.
