I have the same issue. EVERY TIME I try to add movies, Movienizer (4.4) freezes. It begins downloading some bytes, and stops responding. In the task manager it shows that the process Movinizer.exe utilizes about 40% of processor. I try to leave PC turned on overnight, and in the morning found the dialogue of "введите имя", also in the download window it showed many "access violation error in movienizer.exe", and also timeout errors.

I already followed all of your instructions, I have chosen minimal download settings (please find screenshot).

I would like to add, that in past it was happening sometimes, but now it happens EVERY TIME I TRY TO ADD THE MOVIE.

It is installed on Notebook with WinXP SP3, having no problems with any other soft. And I tried and installed new copy on PC running Windows 7 Ultimate, and on both computers situation is the same. By the way, on both computers are running ESET Smart Security 4.0.437, but it used to be run also in past, when there were no such annoying freezes.

I have downloaded many new movies, and can not add to my collection (

Please inform, what information should I provide additionally to fix my problem.

As it was "kindly" advised by developers, I am reposting requested details of Movinizer, which freezes EVERY TIME I try to add the movie:

1) Movienizer 4.4
build 240 31.08.11

2) All scripts are already updated

3) Checked the scripts. kinopoisk_movie version 104 author Alex. From browser http://www.kinopoisk.ru is accessible.

4) Timeout was changed several times, different values, same result, program Freezes when downloading info from internet.

5) "User Interface" chosen Modern_program.pas (modern) ver.: 64

Is there any information else, I shoul provide to solve my problem??

Uta, could you please let us know where you keep your database file? Could you please also create a new (blank) database locally and let us know if you have any problem with it?

I have MN v4.4 build 239 working on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (not installed in the C:\ Drive) with these settings:
-Number of Shots: 3.
-Number of persons: 300
-Number of trailers: 1
-And all the download options marked.
and i don't have any problems adding a movie by title or from my folders on my NAS.

So it's probably a bug in the Russian version of MN.
Did you have it too in the previous version?

I store DB on D disk, (C is system).

I will try, but even if I succeed, I have 798 movies in my collection, what should I do with them?? They will be lost???

Did you paied attention to the screenshot with "access violation" error???

I never had too do that, so i can't say for sure but always make a backup (covers and DB) and if it doesn't work you can always reinstalled the latest version again and restore the DB.

In new DB there is now such errors... It seams database is corrupted. Do you have any utilities to reindex/rebuild movienizer database??? It will be too hard and time consuming to add all 798 movies and 1000+ actors to the collection again.

I once had a corrupted DB http://www.movienizer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1697 and had to begin again from zero (1600+ movies...)
And it took a long time...
So i hope for your sake that they can fix it.
