This software is very great, but no Unicode support is very disappointing. Here are just some examples:

Without this fix, half of my movies cannot be properly added to my movie database. Please fix it ASAP.

I would not call this a bug  . Unicode support is a quite extensive feature for such a complex program. We've been working on it over a year, and there are still some work to be done.
You can switch your system locale to Russian and work with all sorts of movies.

Switching locale to Russian would be a solution only if I used 2 languages, but I use 3.
I am calling it a bug because for example "Comments" does support Unicode while subtitles not. I am a programmer myself so it is strange when you say that you are working over a year on Unicode implementation, but such a simple thing as manual entry of Unicode subtitles is still not supported .

What you use now is the non-Unicode version of the program. The Unicode version will be released only after the work is complete.

I see, but in this case maybe you could provide a beta version for download. It is a common practice.
I believe that most of Unicode support would be implemented by now, so people could start using those functions.
Let's take me as an example, I cannot switch my locale to Russian, so I am stuck, I cannot add half of my movies.

P.S. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1958#p9883

A beta will be released when it is ready, it will be available to our beta testers.

I believe, information about all Russian movies is available on IMDB :).

How much to pay you to get it now, without any waiting? I am serous, I feel desperate.

You are wrong, that's especially not true with older Russian or other origin than English films.

Unfortunately, it is not possible.
Still, using a number of languages myself, I can see at least two solutions:
1. Western European languages are mostly Latin, with several accented letters, umlauts or alike. If you switch to Cyrillic, such texts are still fully readable.
2. Using Windows 7, you can install Windows XP mode and switch its locale to Russian and keep your Russian database there. Thus you can have two different locales in the same system, without any need to restart, switch etc.

1. I use EN, LT, RU. Because of LT I cannot switch to RU locale.
2. Possible, but not user friendly. My understanding is the following: software (technology) should help humans, not vice versa.

Anyway, I really do hope you add UNICODE support soon, not after a year or so.

Sure, that's why we are working on it. It's just a suggestion how to work around now, while the feature is not there.
