I lost some data when updating movienizer.

To avoid same problem in the future I would you to tell me step by step the best way to make a back up.

I followed all the steps but for any reason the backup folder became empty and only after a restore for a previous date I manged to
recover a part of my database.

can someone please help me ??

Did you wait for the backup process to finish?

I dont know exactely what happenned.
When I updated to vers. 1.9 everything went fine.All data was there.
The problem occured later when I was crearing a new backup after adding some movies.
I remember a popup message saying "movienizer needs to create a backup before the update.Do you want to create the backup now.
I selected "yes" next movienizer opened with no movies on my data base.

After many tests I decided for a restore of my system and thats why I only have a part of my data recovered. !!!

Is there any possibility that my last database can still be found somewhere in my HD ??

Please look into the folder where you have created your database.
