Post XBMC
Hi Vlad:

I have a question. ¿Is possible to export movie catalog to XBMC? So, I could get info with movienizer and use XBMC at the home cinema

thanks

Currently you can use reports and an sqlite browser to export data from Movienizer. We are not sure what should be done about export to XBMC :)

Post Re: XBMC
To export correctly to XBMC, I need that movienizer exports a file information for each movie in collection. For example

12 Monkeys.avi : When I import this movie with XMBC, I need a file called 12 Monkeys.NFO with movie information (title, year, cover...) in the same directory that 12 Monkeys.avi

So, the idea is to export for each movie that file. ¿Is it possible? Thanks

PD: The archivo is a simple XML

Should any special structure be there, in the .nfo file?

The structure is that:
Code:
    <movie>
        <title>Who knows</title>
        <originaltitle>Who knows for real</originaltitle>
        <rating>6.100000</rating>
        <year>2008</year>
        <top250>0</top250>
        <votes>50</votes>
        <outline>A look at the role of the Buckeye State in the 2004 Presidential Election.</outline>
        <plot>A look at the role of the Buckeye State in the 2004 Presidential Election.</plot>
        <tagline></tagline>
        <runtime>90 min</runtime>
        <thumb>http://ia.ec.imdb.com/media/imdb/01/I/25/65/31/10f.jpg</thumb>
        <mpaa>Not available</mpaa>
        <playcount>0</playcount>
        <watched>false</watched>
        <id>tt0432337</id>
        <filenameandpath>c:\Dummy_Movie_Files\Movies\...So Goes The Nation.avi</filenameandpath>
        <trailer></trailer>
        <genre></genre>
        <credits></credits>
        <director>Adam Del Deo</director>
        <actor>
            <name>Paul Begala</name>
            <role>Himself</role>
        </actor>
        <actor>
            <name>George W. Bush</name>
            <role>Himself</role>
        </actor>
        <actor>
            <name>Mary Beth Cahill</name>
            <role>Herself</role>
        </actor>
        <actor>
            <name>Ed Gillespie</name>
            <role>Himself</role>
        </actor>
        <actor>
            <name>John Kerry</name>
            <role>Himself</role>
        </actor></movie>

The *.nfo file have to be named with the movie name.nfo and be stored in the same folder

You can obtain more info in http://www.xbmc.org/wiki/index.php?title=Import_-_Export_Library&diff=13127&oldid=prev

Thanks for your explanations. I will add the feature to the poll a bit later.

I totally agree with ordago_86, because to mangle information no program compares with movienizer and XBMC is the best media center. Another opptions like MEDIA READER are far behind, so io think this feature will increase Movienizer's popularity, and also will stablish a solution to mediacenter issues. So I support ordago_86 on this one: "Movienizer for PC + XBMC for TV is the perfect combination"

Thank you.

i fully endorse ordago_86's request. i have over 3,000 movies on the hard disk and my family stream them to a TV using media centre. i find Mivienizer the best catalog yet XBMC is the most suitable for Media Centre. we truly have a Family Media Centre. :)
alternatively, if Vlad could somehow integrate this product with Media Center it would be like panacia. :)
anyways, i hope we could see this feature in some form in the near future....
great ptoduct Vlad. Keep up the good work....

I believe, we will do it pretty soon. Unfortunately, I forgot to include it in the feature request pole :(
