Post Index letter missing - C...M...A...
I'm using MN 3.1 and since now i noticed that the index letter C is missing, and i do not know how this happened.

When i add a new movie that begins with a C and save it, it reappears, with all my movies that i previously put in, still there.

But when i close MN and start it again, the Index C is gone missing again. :(

Does somebody have a solution for this? :?

Thanks.

I've had this problem sometime ago, if i am correct the problem with my MN was that there was a damaged record starting with a C.( for example)

I corrected the problem by updating and saving some suspicious movies and all of a sudden the problem was gone.

After I solved the problem I checked the HDD the database was on but nothing was found, I guess it happened as a result of a power failure or somekind off rare system action, never happened again after then.

Thanks for the reply.
Didn't found any suspicious movies under the C.
So this means, i think, that i have to update every movie in the C ? :o

you could try to add a bogus movie under C (not need to DL from imdb or whatever just add by hand)
Restart MN and see what happenes, if I am correct (and I hope I am) the C should be back
now delete the bogus movie end restart again.

Good news :D

I started updating (like you said) from the last movie that i added in the C, and so upwards.
And, after 22 titles it was back as normal. :D
But I still do not know how this has happened :?

Thanks estate.

Tried that also, didn't work. :( The C came back but disappeared when i restarted MN.
I did it as in the message posted above.

OKay, that's what happened with my MN also after a number of updates MN came back to normal and the problem (till now, knock on wood :)) never came back, problem is that I can't reproduce it so can't tell if its MN related or it is something that happened due to an internet connection failure of any kind.

Congrats to you and hope for you it will stay good

It's happened again  this time with the M.

Did the same thing (started updating the last movies i added in the M...) and after updating The Manchurian Candidate, it was back to 'normal' again.

I hope this will not be a permanent problem, because it is already somewhat weird, always having to check if everything is in order :(
But to find a solution, we must first know what's causing this, and thats just it, i don't know :?
Everything is working great, adding/updating movies, having no problems at all, and then :o it happened.
If you see it immediately, then there's no probs, but if you see it only after a few days, then...

Hope that someone will look into it

An interesting bug. If this happens again, could you please backup your database (without pictures) and upload it to some file sharing service like hotfile.com for us to test? Please make sure that the restored database has the same problem, too.

Well Vlad, here it is again :)
This time it's the A thats gone.

The cause of this problem this time is Alice in Wonderland (2010)
Updating the movie this time doesn't seems to work. :x
When i remove it from the database, the A appears, and when i add it back it disappears again.

Then i went to the actors page of Johnny Depp, where i chose the movie from his filmography.
Without downloading anything, i just marked the movie "In Collection" and saved it... and A was gone!

It seems i'm the only one who has this problem, despite the many views or are there also others. :?:
Please let us know. ;)

Here's the link with the database you requested.
Hope you will find the bug
